Terms of Service

By creating a LoveConnet account, accessing our website, downloading our mobile application, or otherwise using any part of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines, all of which are incorporated herein by reference.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.

1.1 Scope of Agreement

These Terms apply to all users of LoveConnet, including registered members, unregistered website visitors, API developers, and any person who accesses our Services through any means. The term "Services" encompasses the LoveConnet mobile application (available on Android and iOS), the website at loveconnet.com, the LoveConnet Developer API and Developer Portal, customer support channels, and any future platforms, features, or tools we may introduce.

1.2 Supplementary Terms

Additional terms and policies may apply to specific features, promotions, or services offered through LoveConnet. These supplementary terms are incorporated into and form part of these Terms. In the event of a conflict between these general Terms and any supplementary terms, the supplementary terms shall prevail with respect to the specific feature or service to which they apply. Key supplementary documents include:

• Privacy Policy: Governs how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. Available at loveconnet.com/privacy.
• Community Guidelines: Detailed standards of behavior expected on the platform, including content policies and interaction etiquette.
• Developer API Terms: Additional terms governing the use of our Developer API, OAuth system, and API keys (Section 10 below).
• Premium Subscription Terms: Specific terms for paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, and virtual currency.
• Advertising Terms: Terms applicable to advertisers and publishers using our advertising platform.

1.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

1.4 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any applicable supplementary terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and LoveConnet regarding your use of the Services. These Terms supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, and communications, whether oral or written, between you and LoveConnet relating to the subject matter hereof.

2.1 Representations and Warranties

By accessing or using LoveConnet, you expressly represent and warrant each of the following statements to be true and accurate:

• Legal Age: You are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contractual agreement.
• Legal Standing: You are not prohibited from using the Services under any applicable federal, state, local, or international law, regulation, sanctions list, or court order. You are not located in a country that is subject to a comprehensive U.S. government embargo.
• No Prior Bans: You have not previously been terminated, suspended, or permanently banned from LoveConnet for violating these Terms or any prior version of these Terms. Attempting to create a new account after being banned constitutes a further violation.
• No Criminal Restrictions: You are not a registered sex offender in any jurisdiction and have not been convicted of any violent felony, sexual offense, or crime involving minors.
• Accurate Information: All information you provide during registration, profile setup, and ongoing use of the platform is accurate, current, complete, and not misleading in any way. You commit to promptly updating your information if it changes.
• Relationship Status: If you are currently in a committed relationship, marriage, or domestic partnership, your partner is fully aware of and consents to your use of the LoveConnet platform.
• Lawful Use: You will use the Services exclusively for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and in full compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws, regulations, and ordinances.
• Single Account: You will maintain only one active LoveConnet account at any time. Operating multiple accounts simultaneously is a violation of these Terms.

2.2 Geographic Restrictions

LoveConnet is available globally, but certain features may be restricted or unavailable in specific jurisdictions due to local laws, regulations, or operational limitations. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all laws applicable in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to restrict access to the Services from certain geographic locations at our sole discretion.

2.3 Parental and Guardian Responsibility

If you are a parent or legal guardian and become aware that your minor child has created a LoveConnet account or is using our Services, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will take immediate steps to terminate the account and permanently delete all associated data. LoveConnet does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.

3.1 Account Creation

To access most features of LoveConnet, you must create a personal account. You may register using your email address, phone number, or through supported third-party authentication providers (Google, Apple). Each individual may maintain only one active LoveConnet account.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Create a strong, unique password that you do not use for any other service.
• Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced account security when available.
• Never share your login credentials, authentication tokens, or session cookies with any third party.
• Immediately notify LoveConnet if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account via our in-app support or by emailing [email protected].
• Log out of your account on shared or public devices after each session.

3.3 Account Accuracy

All information you provide during registration and on your profile must be truthful, accurate, and not misleading. Providing false information — including but not limited to misrepresenting your age, identity, gender, or relationship status — is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.

LoveConnet is built on a foundation of mutual respect, authenticity, and safety. Every member of our community plays a vital role in making the platform a positive and welcoming space. These guidelines represent the behavioral standards we expect every user to uphold. Violations of these guidelines will be addressed through our enforcement system, which may include warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent account termination depending on severity.

4.1 Respect, Dignity, and Inclusion

LoveConnet is a diverse, global community. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and safe, regardless of their background or identity.

• Universal Respect: Treat every user with respect, kindness, empathy, and dignity. This applies to all interactions — profiles, messages, voice calls, video calls, group chats, and in-person meetings.
• Non-Discrimination: Do not discriminate against, demean, or express prejudice toward any user based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, medical condition, socioeconomic status, or any other protected characteristic.
• No Harassment: Do not harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or demean any user. Harassment includes persistent unwanted contact, sending offensive or degrading messages, publicly shaming users, and spreading rumors or false information about others.
• Graceful Rejection: Accept rejection gracefully and maturely. If someone declines your interest, unmatch you, or does not respond, respect their decision and do not persist. Continuing to contact someone after they have indicated disinterest or blocked you (including through new accounts) is considered harassment.
• No Hate Speech: Do not use hate speech, racial slurs, derogatory language, epithets, or any language designed to demean, dehumanize, or incite hatred against any individual or group. This includes coded language, dog whistles, and symbols associated with hate groups.
• Consent Culture: Respect boundaries at all times. Do not send sexually explicit messages, images, or requests without clear, affirmative, and ongoing consent from the recipient. Unsolicited explicit content is a serious violation.

4.2 Authenticity and Honest Representation

Trust is essential in a dating community. We require all users to represent themselves honestly and authentically.

• Your Own Photos: Use only your own genuine, recent photographs that clearly show your face and accurately represent your current appearance. Do not use photos of celebrities, models, stock images, AI-generated faces, or photographs of other individuals. Group photos should not be your primary photo. Photos should not be excessively edited, filtered, or manipulated to misrepresent your appearance.
• Honest Identity: Represent yourself truthfully. Do not impersonate another person, create accounts under false identities, or misrepresent your name, age, profession, education, location, or relationship status. Users who have completed verification and received a "Verified" badge must maintain the authenticity that earned them that badge.
• No Catfishing: Do not create fake profiles, catfish accounts, or accounts designed to deceive, manipulate, or mislead other users. Catfishing — the act of creating a false identity to lure someone into a relationship — is a serious violation that results in permanent ban.
• Genuine Intent: Use the platform with the genuine intent of forming meaningful interpersonal connections. Do not use LoveConnet as a tool for research, journalism, data collection, investigative purposes, or any purpose other than personal dating and socializing without prior written authorization.

4.3 Safety First

Your physical and emotional safety is our top priority. We strongly encourage all users to follow these safety guidelines to protect themselves:

• Protect Personal Information: Never share sensitive personal information with other users, including your home or work address, financial account details, Social Security or national ID numbers, passwords, or other credentials. A genuine match will never ask you for financial information.
• Meet Safely: When meeting someone in person for the first time, always choose a well-lit, populated public location. Inform a trusted friend or family member of your plans, including who you are meeting, where, and when. Consider sharing your real-time location with a trusted contact.
• Video Chat First: We strongly recommend conducting a video call before any in-person meeting to confirm the person matches their profile. Be cautious of users who consistently avoid video chat or identity verification.
• Report Immediately: Report any user who makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or who violates these guidelines using our in-app reporting tools. Reports can be filed from any user's profile, from within a conversation, or by emailing [email protected]. All reports are confidential — the reported user will not be informed of who filed the report.
• Trust Your Instincts: If something feels wrong, trust your instincts. You can block any user at any time, which immediately prevents them from viewing your profile, sending you messages, or finding you in search results.
• Financial Scams: Be extremely cautious of users who ask for money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or financial assistance, regardless of the reason given. Romance scams are one of the most common forms of online fraud. Never send money to someone you have only met online.

4.4 Communication Standards

Respectful communication is the cornerstone of positive connections. When interacting with other users:

• Keep conversations respectful, appropriate, and relevant to building genuine connections.
• Do not send spam, repetitive messages, copy-paste opening lines to many users simultaneously, or use message templates from third-party pickup line services.
• Do not make threats (explicit or implied), issue ultimatums, or use manipulative language to pressure others into meeting, continuing conversations, or engaging in any activity.
• Do not share screenshots of private conversations outside of LoveConnet without the other person's explicit consent. Sharing conversation screenshots on social media or other platforms is a violation.
• Engage in good faith. Do not use the platform solely to troll, provoke reactions, or cause emotional distress to other users.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on LoveConnet. This list is not exhaustive — we reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, what constitutes a violation of the spirit of these Terms. Engaging in any of these behaviors will result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination, and may be reported to law enforcement authorities where applicable. Users who are permanently banned forfeit any remaining Premium subscription time, Virtual Items, and credits without refund.

5.1 Harmful and Illegal Activities

LoveConnet has zero tolerance for any form of illegal activity or conduct that endangers the safety of others.

• Sexual Exploitation: Soliciting, facilitating, advertising, or engaging in any form of prostitution, sex trafficking, human trafficking, escort services, or commercial sexual exploitation. This includes linking to or promoting external websites or services that facilitate such activities.
• Child Safety: Any content, communication, or behavior involving the sexual exploitation of minors is an absolute zero-tolerance violation. This includes sharing, distributing, requesting, or possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). All such content is immediately reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement agencies. We cooperate fully with all law enforcement investigations.
• Illegal Activities: Engaging in, promoting, facilitating, or soliciting any illegal activity through the platform, including but not limited to: drug trafficking, distribution or sale of controlled substances, money laundering, fraud, identity theft, forgery, terrorism or terrorist financing, weapons trafficking, or cybercrimes.
• Violence and Threats: Threatening violence against any individual or group, issuing death threats, encouraging or glorifying self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders, or promoting any form of physical violence. This includes conditional threats ("if you don't... I will...") and vague but menacing language.
• Non-Consensual Intimate Content: Sharing, distributing, threatening to share, or requesting non-consensual intimate images or videos ("revenge pornography"). This includes secretly recording voice or video calls, taking screenshots of intimate video calls, and threatening to expose private content.
• Extortion and Blackmail: Engaging in any form of extortion or blackmail, including threatening to reveal personal information, intimate content, or private communications unless demands are met.
• Stalking: Engaging in stalking behavior, including tracking a user's location, monitoring their activities across platforms, repeatedly creating accounts to contact someone who has blocked you, or showing up at their home, workplace, or known locations uninvited.

5.2 Platform Abuse and Technical Violations

Any attempt to undermine the integrity, security, or proper functioning of the LoveConnet platform is strictly prohibited.

• Multi-Accounting: Creating, operating, or maintaining multiple accounts simultaneously. This includes creating new accounts to evade bans, suspensions, or to circumvent rate limits. Using different email addresses, phone numbers, or devices to maintain multiple accounts does not exempt you from this rule.
• Automation and Bots: Using automated tools, bots, scripts, scrapers, browser extensions, or any non-human means to access, interact with, or extract data from the Services. This includes automated swiping, messaging, profile viewing, data mining, and the use of third-party applications that interface with LoveConnet.
• Reverse Engineering: Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt, or otherwise derive the source code, algorithms, data models, or proprietary methodologies of our applications, APIs, matching systems, or AI models.
• Vulnerability Exploitation: Exploiting bugs, glitches, vulnerabilities, or unintended features for personal advantage, to gain unauthorized access, or to disrupt the Services. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to [email protected].
• Circumvention: Circumventing, disabling, or interfering with any technical measures we implement to enforce these Terms, protect the platform, restrict access, rate-limit API calls, verify identity, or moderate content.
• Network Interference: Attempting to interfere with, disrupt, degrade, or overload our servers, networks, databases, or other infrastructure through denial-of-service attacks, excessive API calls, or any other means.
• Location Spoofing: Falsifying or manipulating your geographic location through VPNs, GPS spoofing tools, mock location apps, or any other means to circumvent geographic restrictions, appear in different regions, or deceive other users about your actual location.

5.3 Commercial, Spam, and Financial Activities

LoveConnet is a personal dating and social platform, not a marketplace or advertising channel. The following commercial activities are prohibited without express written authorization from LoveConnet:

• Unauthorized Advertising: Using LoveConnet to advertise, promote, market, or sell any products, services, businesses, or external websites. This includes placing promotional content in your bio, photos, or messages.
• Spam: Sending unsolicited mass messages, chain letters, template messages to many users, or any content designed to promote products, services, or websites. This includes using the platform to build marketing lists or generate leads.
• Financial Solicitation: Soliciting, requesting, or pressuring other users for money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, wire transfers, or any form of financial transaction. This includes fake emergencies, investment opportunities, and charity scams.
• MLM and Schemes: Promoting multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes, pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, investment opportunities, cryptocurrency projects, NFTs, or any other financial products or get-rich-quick schemes.
• Data Harvesting: Collecting, scraping, harvesting, storing, or aggregating user data — including but not limited to names, email addresses, phone numbers, photos, profile information, or location data — for any purpose whatsoever, whether manual or automated.
• Traffic Diversion: Attempting to divert users away from LoveConnet to other platforms, websites, or applications, whether competing or otherwise, through links, QR codes, usernames, or contact information shared in profiles or messages.

5.4 Content Violations

The following types of content are prohibited across all areas of the platform, including profiles, messages, group chats, video calls, and any other user-generated content:

• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or excessively suggestive content, including nudity, sexual acts, and graphic sexual descriptions.
• Graphic violence, gore, mutilation, animal cruelty, or content depicting real-world suffering for shock value.
• Content that promotes, glorifies, or trivializes terrorism, extremism, mass violence, or hate groups.
• Deliberately misleading or deceptive content, including deepfakes, manipulated media, and disinformation designed to deceive other users.
• Content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of third parties, including copyrighted images, music, videos, and trademarked material.
• Malware, viruses, phishing links, exploit code, or any technically harmful content designed to compromise devices, accounts, or data security.

6.1 Your Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you upload, post, or transmit through the Services ("User Content"), including photographs, biographical text, messages, video introductions, voice notes, and any other material you create on the platform. LoveConnet does not claim ownership of your User Content at any time.

6.2 License Grant to LoveConnet

By posting User Content on LoveConnet, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, publish, display, and distribute your User Content solely in connection with operating, developing, providing, promoting, and improving the Services. This license is necessary for us to:

• Display your profile photos and bio to other users for matching purposes.
• Deliver your messages, voice notes, and video introductions to intended recipients.
• Process your photos through our AI content moderation system to maintain platform safety.
• Optimize and resize images for different device screens and bandwidths.
• Create anonymized, aggregated datasets for improving our matching algorithms (without identifying you individually).
• Cache content on our CDN servers globally for fast delivery.

This license terminates when you delete your User Content or your account, except in the following circumstances: (a) where your content has been shared with or received by other users (such as sent messages, which remain in the recipient's conversation history); (b) where retention is required for legal compliance, regulatory requirements, or active investigations; (c) where content exists in anonymized, aggregated datasets that cannot identify you; or (d) where content exists in encrypted backup systems, which are automatically purged within 90 days of deletion.

6.3 Content Representations

By uploading User Content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the sole owner or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and authorize LoveConnet to use the content as described in these Terms; (b) the content does not infringe upon, misappropriate, or violate any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other personal or proprietary rights; (c) the content is accurate and not misleading; and (d) the content complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

6.4 Content Standards and Moderation

All User Content must comply with these Terms, our Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws. We employ a multi-layered content moderation system combining AI-powered automated review with human oversight. Content that violates our standards may be removed without notice, and repeat violations may result in account suspension or termination. Specifically, User Content must not:

• Explicit Content: Contain nudity, sexually explicit material, pornographic content, or sexually suggestive poses. Profile photos and video introductions are automatically reviewed by our GPT-4o Vision-powered AI moderation system and may be escalated to human moderators for further review.
• Violence: Depict, promote, glorify, or trivialize violence, gore, graphic injury, self-harm, suicide, or animal cruelty.
• Hate Content: Contain hate speech, discriminatory content, slurs, or material that promotes hatred, intolerance, or violence against any individual or group based on protected characteristics.
• IP Infringement: Infringe upon the intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent) of any third party, including using copyrighted images, music, artwork, or brand logos without authorization.
• Harmful Technical Content: Contain malware, viruses, trojans, phishing links, redirect URLs, exploit code, or any other technically harmful or deceptive content designed to compromise user devices or security.
• Third-Party Information: Include personal, private, or confidential information of third parties without their explicit, informed consent — including photos, names, contact details, or health information.
• Misleading Content: Be deliberately deceptive, including the use of deepfakes, AI-generated faces, significantly altered photos that misrepresent your appearance, or false claims about your identity, profession, or achievements.

6.5 DMCA and Copyright Complaints

LoveConnet respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied or used on LoveConnet in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice to our designated copyright agent at [email protected]. Your notice must include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location on our platform; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We will respond to valid DMCA notices within 10 business days.

6.6 LoveConnet Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services — including but not limited to the LoveConnet name, logo, brand assets, visual design language, user interface layouts, interaction patterns, matching algorithms, trust scoring models, AI/ML models, source code, API specifications, developer documentation, and all related intellectual property — are and shall remain the exclusive property of LoveConnet or its licensors. These assets are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property. You may not use the LoveConnet name, logos, trademarks, or brand features for any purpose — including in domain names, social media handles, application names, or marketing materials — without our prior written consent. Any unauthorized use constitutes a violation of these Terms and applicable intellectual property laws.

6.7 Feedback

If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, ideas, or recommendations for improving our Services ("Feedback"), you grant LoveConnet an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into our Services without any obligation to you. You waive any rights you may have in such Feedback, and LoveConnet is not obligated to use, acknowledge, or compensate you for any Feedback provided.

Your safety is our highest priority. LoveConnet invests significantly in building and maintaining comprehensive safety systems that operate around the clock to protect our community. Our approach combines cutting-edge artificial intelligence with experienced human reviewers to create multiple layers of protection.

7.1 Automated Safety Systems

We employ the following automated systems that work continuously to detect and prevent harmful content and behavior:

• AI Content Moderation: All profile photos and video introductions are automatically scanned using GPT-4o Vision-powered AI before being made visible to other users. This system detects and blocks explicit, violent, inappropriate, or deceptive content (including AI-generated faces and deepfakes) with high accuracy. Content flagged by the AI is escalated to human moderators for final review.
• Behavioral Analysis: Our machine learning systems continuously analyze user behavior patterns to identify potential scammers, catfishers, bots, fake accounts, and predatory users. Suspicious accounts may be flagged for review, placed in a restricted state, or suspended automatically.
• Conversation Safety AI: We use advanced natural language processing to monitor messages for harassment, threats, hate speech, unsolicited explicit content, financial solicitation, and other harmful communications. When detected, the sender may receive a warning, the message may be blocked, and the incident may trigger a review.
• Fraud and Bot Detection: Device fingerprinting, Cloudflare Turnstile challenges, GPS verification, IP reputation analysis, and behavioral anomaly detection systems work together to prevent fake accounts, automated bots, and location spoofing. We maintain a database of known bad actors and employ cross-referencing to identify ban evaders.
• Photo Protection: We implement technical measures to discourage unauthorized downloading, screenshotting, and redistribution of user photos. While no system is perfect, these measures provide an additional layer of protection for your images.

7.2 Human Review and Trust & Safety Team

Our dedicated Trust & Safety team supplements our automated systems with human judgment and expertise. This team is responsible for reviewing escalated reports, investigating complex cases, making final moderation decisions, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary, and continuously improving our safety policies and systems based on emerging threats and trends.

7.3 Reporting Mechanisms

If you encounter any user who violates these Terms, makes you feel unsafe, or engages in suspicious behavior, you can report them through any of the following channels:

• In-App Profile Report: Tap the three-dot menu on any user's profile and select "Report." Choose the appropriate category and provide details about the violation.
• In-Chat Report: Long-press any message in a conversation to access the report option directly from the chat interface.
• Email Report: Send detailed reports to [email protected] with screenshots and any relevant context.
• Emergency Situations: If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services (911, 112, 999) first, then report to us.

All reports are treated confidentially — the reported user will never be informed of who filed the report. Reports are typically reviewed within 24 hours, with urgent cases (threats of violence, child safety, etc.) prioritized for immediate review. Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of these Terms.

7.4 Enforcement Actions and Appeals

Based on the nature and severity of the violation, our team may take one or more of the following graduated enforcement actions:

• Educational Warning: A notification explaining which guideline was violated and how to avoid future violations. Issued for first-time minor infractions.
• Content Removal: Removal of specific offending content (photos, bio text, messages) without further account action.
• Feature Restriction: Temporary restriction of specific features such as messaging, matching, profile visibility, or the ability to upload new photos. Duration depends on severity.
• Temporary Suspension: Account suspension for a defined period (24 hours to 30 days). During suspension, the user cannot access any part of the platform. Their profile is hidden from all other users.
• Permanent Termination: Irreversible account ban. The user's profile and all data are permanently deleted. Device and phone identifiers are recorded to prevent re-registration. Premium subscriptions and Virtual Items are forfeited without refund.
• Law Enforcement Referral: For serious violations involving illegal activity, we will report the user and preserve relevant evidence for law enforcement agencies. We cooperate fully with valid legal requests and subpoenas.

Users who receive a suspension or termination may submit an appeal within 30 days by emailing [email protected]. Appeals are reviewed by a senior member of the Trust & Safety team who was not involved in the original decision. We will respond to all appeals within 14 business days.

LoveConnet offers a range of optional premium features and subscription plans designed to enhance your dating experience. This section outlines the terms governing all paid aspects of the platform.

8.1 Premium Subscription Plans

• Unlimited daily likes and super likes.
• Advanced search filters (education, profession, height, interests, verification status).
• Profile boosts that temporarily increase your visibility to potential matches.
• Read receipts showing when your messages have been seen.
• See who liked you before swiping.
• Rewind accidentally passed profiles.
• Priority placement in other users' discovery feeds.
• Ad-free experience throughout the app.
• Priority customer support with faster response times.
• Exclusive profile badges and customization options.

The specific features included in each tier and their pricing are displayed within the app and may vary by region, promotional period, and platform (iOS vs. Android).

8.2 Billing, Pricing, and Renewal

All financial transactions for Premium Services are important commitments. Please understand the following billing terms:

• Recurring Billing: Subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, or annually as selected at the time of purchase) and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store or Apple App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain full access to Premium features until the period expires. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
• Payment Processing: All payments are processed exclusively through the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). LoveConnet does not directly collect, process, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment instrument information at any time.
• Price Changes: Prices for Premium Services may vary by region, currency, device platform, and promotional period. We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect on their next renewal. You can cancel before the new pricing takes effect.
• Free Trials: We may offer free trial periods for Premium Services. If you do not cancel before the trial expires, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the displayed price. You are limited to one free trial per platform per account.

8.3 Refund Policy

Refund policies are primarily governed by the terms of the Google Play Store or Apple App Store through which you made your purchase. LoveConnet does not directly process payment refunds. If you believe you are entitled to a refund due to a billing error, technical issue that prevented you from using Premium features, or other legitimate reason, please contact the respective app store's support team. In exceptional circumstances, you may contact our support team at [email protected] for assistance with the refund process.

8.4 Virtual Currency, Coins, and In-App Consumables

LoveConnet may offer virtual currency, coins, tokens, credits, or consumable in-app items ("Virtual Items") that can be purchased through the app store or earned through platform activities. Important terms regarding Virtual Items:

• Virtual Items are licensed to you, not sold. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash, exchanged for currency, or transferred to another user or account.
• Virtual Items are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be traded, bartered, or sold outside of the LoveConnet platform.
• All unused Virtual Items are permanently forfeited upon account termination (whether by you or by LoveConnet), account inactivity exceeding 24 months, or discontinuation of the Virtual Items feature.
• We reserve the right to modify the pricing, availability, functionality, and exchange rates of Virtual Items at any time without prior notice. We may also discontinue Virtual Items entirely.
• Virtual Items do not constitute property and do not create any legally enforceable rights or interests beyond the limited license granted herein.

LoveConnet is committed to building a platform where users can trust that the people they connect with are real and authentic. Our identity verification system is a cornerstone of this commitment, providing users with tools to establish and demonstrate their authenticity.

9.1 Types of Verification

LoveConnet offers multiple verification methods, some optional and some required:

• Phone Number Verification (Required): All accounts must verify a valid phone number during registration via SMS one-time passcode (OTP) through Firebase Authentication. Each phone number may only be associated with one active LoveConnet account. This requirement helps prevent bot accounts and ensures a basic level of accountability.
• Face Verification (Optional): Using advanced AWS Rekognition liveness detection technology, you can verify that your profile photos match a real-time selfie captured during the verification flow. This process involves: (a) capturing a live video selfie with randomized challenge actions to prove you are a real, present person (not a photo of a photo); (b) comparing the selfie against your uploaded profile photos using facial recognition; (c) confirming a match above our confidence threshold. Upon successful verification, a prominent "Verified" badge is displayed on your profile, signaling to other users that your identity has been confirmed.
• ID Document Verification (Optional, Enhanced): For users seeking the highest level of trust, you may optionally submit a government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, national ID card). The document is processed securely: the photo on the ID is compared against your selfie, and the document is verified for authenticity. ID document images are encrypted during processing and permanently deleted from our systems within 72 hours of verification completion. We do not retain copies of your ID documents.

9.2 Verification Data Handling

All verification data is processed in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. Selfie images used for face verification are stored only for the duration of the verification session and are deleted within 24 hours of completion. Biometric templates (mathematical representations of facial features) are stored securely for the purpose of maintaining your verified status but cannot be used to recreate your image.

9.3 Limitations of Verification

Attempting to fraudulently obtain a verification badge through deceptive means — including using another person's identity, submitting forged documents, or using technical exploits — is a serious violation of these Terms and may constitute identity fraud under applicable law. Such violations will result in immediate permanent account termination and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

LoveConnet provides a comprehensive suite of Developer APIs that empower third-party developers to build innovative applications and integrations with our platform. The Developer API includes endpoints for identity verification (face, ID document), trust scoring, content moderation, user discovery, and matching intelligence. By accessing or using the Developer API, you agree to these additional terms, which supplement the general Terms of Service.

10.1 API Registration and Credentials

To access the Developer API, you must complete the following registration process:

• Application Registration: You must register an OAuth application through the LoveConnet Developer Portal at loveconnet.com/developers to obtain your unique API credentials, consisting of a client ID and client secret.
• Credential Security: Your API credentials are strictly confidential. You must not share, publish, expose in client-side code, commit to public repositories, or embed credentials in mobile applications. Credentials must be stored securely using environment variables, secret management services, or encrypted configuration files.
• Accountability: You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs using your API credentials, whether authorized by you or not. If you suspect your credentials have been compromised, you must immediately regenerate them through the Developer Portal and notify us at [email protected].
• Application Information: You must provide accurate and complete information about your application during registration, including its name, description, intended use case, privacy policy URL, and redirect URIs. Misrepresenting your application's purpose or functionality is a violation of these Terms.

10.2 API Usage Tiers and Rate Limits

API access is subject to tiered usage plans with corresponding rate limits, quotas, and pricing. The available tiers include Free, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plans, each offering different levels of API call volume, feature access, and support. Specific tier details, including per-call pricing for verification endpoints, are published on our Developer Pricing page. Exceeding your plan's rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses, and sustained overuse may result in temporary API suspension.

10.3 Permitted Use of API Data

When accessing user data through the API, you must adhere to strict data handling requirements:

• Consent Required: You may only access user data that individual users have explicitly authorized through the OAuth consent flow. You must clearly explain what data you are requesting and how it will be used before requesting consent.
• Purpose Limitation: User data obtained through the API may only be used for the specific purposes described in your application's privacy policy and consent screen. Any use beyond the stated purpose requires obtaining additional consent from the user.
• No Data Sales: You must not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, monetize, or otherwise commercially distribute raw user data obtained through the API to any third party, including data brokers, advertisers, or analytics companies.
• Data Deletion: You must delete all user data within 30 days if a user revokes their OAuth consent, requests deletion, or deletes their LoveConnet account. You must provide a mechanism for users to request data deletion from within your application.
• Data Protection Compliance: You must comply with all applicable data protection laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where your application operates, including but not limited to GDPR (EU), CCPA/CPRA (California), LGPD (Brazil), POPIA (South Africa), and PDPA (Singapore/Thailand).
• Security Standards: You must implement industry-standard security measures to protect user data, including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+), access controls, regular security audits, and incident response procedures. You must notify LoveConnet within 24 hours of discovering any data breach affecting LoveConnet user data.

10.4 API Restrictions

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using the Developer API:

• Competing Services: Do not use the API to create, operate, or contribute to competing dating services, matchmaking platforms, or features that replicate core LoveConnet functionality such as user discovery, matching, or messaging.
• Data Hoarding: Do not scrape, bulk download, cache, or store user data beyond what is immediately necessary for your application's stated functionality. Implement data minimization practices and regularly purge data you no longer need.
• Spam and Abuse: Do not use the API to send spam, unsolicited communications, automated messages, or any form of bulk outreach to LoveConnet users.
• Reverse Engineering: Do not attempt to reverse engineer, replicate, or derive the underlying logic of our matching algorithms, trust scoring systems, AI models, or content moderation systems through API access, response analysis, or any other means.
• Circumventing Controls: Do not circumvent rate limits, authentication requirements, pagination tokens, or any other technical controls implemented in the API.
• Misrepresentation: Do not misrepresent your application's relationship with LoveConnet. Do not imply that your application is endorsed, sponsored, or officially affiliated with LoveConnet without written authorization.

10.5 API Branding and Attribution

When displaying data obtained through the LoveConnet API in your application, you must: (a) include appropriate attribution to LoveConnet as the data source; (b) comply with our brand guidelines available in the Developer Portal; (c) not modify, distort, or misrepresent LoveConnet brand assets; and (d) display "Powered by LoveConnet" branding where required by your API tier. Use of the LoveConnet name and logo in your application marketing requires prior written approval.

10.6 API Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently revoke your API access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including: violation of these terms, abuse of the API, failure to meet security standards, user complaints about your application, or at our sole discretion. Upon termination of API access, you must immediately cease all API calls and delete all user data obtained through the API within 30 days.

11.1 Service Provided "As Is"

The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LoveConnet expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing, course of performance, or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, bugs, or other harmful components.

11.2 No Guarantee of Outcomes

LoveConnet is a platform that facilitates connections between users. We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind regarding:

• Matching Results: We do not guarantee that you will find a romantic partner, receive any matches, receive messages, or achieve any specific outcome through the use of our Services. The quality and quantity of matches depend on many factors outside our control, including your location, preferences, profile quality, and activity level.
• User Authenticity: While we implement verification systems and content moderation, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, truthfulness, or reliability of any user profiles, photographs, biographical information, or statements made by users. Users may misrepresent themselves despite our best efforts.
• User Safety: We do not conduct criminal background checks, credit checks, employment verification, or any form of comprehensive screening on our users. We cannot guarantee the behavior, intentions, or character of any user, whether verified or not.
• Service Availability: We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted availability of the Services. Scheduled maintenance, unplanned outages, network issues, third-party service disruptions, and force majeure events may affect service availability.

11.3 Third-Party Services and Content

The Services may contain links to, integrations with, or references to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by LoveConnet. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, practices, availability, or accuracy of any third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed solely by their respective terms and policies. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party service before engaging with them.

11.4 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LoveConnet, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors (collectively, the "LoveConnet Parties") shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages for:

• Loss of profits, revenue, business, or business opportunities.
• Loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Cost of procurement of substitute goods or services.
• Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Services.
• Any conduct, content, or communications of any third party or other user on the Services, including any defamatory, offensive, harassing, or illegal conduct.
• Any content obtained from or through the Services, including errors or omissions in any content.
• Unauthorized access to, use of, or alteration of your transmissions, content, or personal data.
• Any personal injury, emotional distress, property damage, or financial loss resulting from meeting other users in person or through any interaction facilitated by the Services.
• Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or similar harmful code transmitted through the Services by any third party.
• Any errors or omissions in the Services or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the Services.

11.5 Aggregate Liability Cap

In no event shall the LoveConnet Parties' total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you have actually paid to LoveConnet for Premium Services in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD $100). This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based, whether contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, and even if the LoveConnet Parties have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11.6 Jurisdictional Limitations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you in full. In these cases, the liability of the LoveConnet Parties shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LoveConnet, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and licensors (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, proceedings, losses, damages, liabilities, settlements, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees, expert witness fees, and court costs) arising out of or relating to:

• Service Usage: Your use of, access to, or inability to use the Services, including any data or content you transmit or receive through the Services.
• User Content: Any User Content you create, upload, post, transmit, or make available through the Services, including any claims that your User Content infringes, misappropriates, or violates the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party.
• Terms Violations: Your breach or alleged breach of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Community Guidelines, or any applicable supplementary terms.
• Legal Violations: Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, ordinance, or governmental order, or the rights of any third party.
• User Interactions: Your interactions, communications, or dealings with any other user of the Services, whether online or offline, including any in-person meetings, dates, relationships, or disputes arising therefrom.
• API Applications: Any application, service, or product you develop, operate, or distribute using the LoveConnet Developer API, including any claims arising from such application's handling of user data, security incidents, or violations of data protection laws.
• Misrepresentation: Any misrepresentation made by you in connection with these Terms, your registration, your profile, or your use of the Services.

LoveConnet reserves the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate fully with our defense of such claims. You agree not to settle any such claim without LoveConnet's prior written consent. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any claim, action, or proceeding that is subject to this indemnification upon becoming aware of it.

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms, and any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LoveConnet is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law principles or provisions that would require the application of the laws of another jurisdiction. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to these Terms.

13.2 Informal Resolution (Required First Step)

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you and LoveConnet agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services ("Dispute") informally. You must send a written description of your Dispute, along with all relevant information and your desired resolution, to [email protected]. Both parties agree to negotiate in good faith for a period of at least sixty (60) days from the date of receipt of the dispute notice. If informal resolution is unsuccessful after this 60-day period, either party may then pursue formal proceedings as described below.

13.3 Binding Individual Arbitration

If a Dispute cannot be resolved through informal negotiations, you and LoveConnet agree that the Dispute shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in a court of law. Arbitration shall be administered by a recognized arbitration organization under its applicable rules. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single, neutral arbitrator. The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve all issues relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, and scope of this arbitration agreement. The arbitrator's decision shall be final, binding, and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13.4 Class Action and Jury Trial Waiver

YOU AND LOVECONNET AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. Unless both you and LoveConnet agree otherwise in writing, the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. If this specific provision is found to be unenforceable, then the entirety of this arbitration agreement shall be null and void with respect to such claim.

13.5 Exceptions to Arbitration

Notwithstanding the foregoing arbitration agreement, either party retains the right to: (a) bring an individual action in small claims court for Disputes within that court's jurisdictional limits; (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights, confidential information, or data security obligations; (c) report violations to law enforcement authorities; or (d) pursue claims that applicable law does not permit to be subject to arbitration.

13.6 Time Limitation on Claims

You agree that any claim or cause of action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services must be filed within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arose, or be permanently barred. This limitation period applies regardless of whether the claim sounds in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise. This paragraph does not apply to residents of jurisdictions where such limitation periods are prohibited by law.

Either you or LoveConnet may terminate the relationship governed by these Terms at any time. This section explains the circumstances, procedures, and consequences of account termination.

14.1 Termination by You

You have the right to terminate your account at any time, for any reason, without penalty. You may do so through the following methods:

• In-App Deletion: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the LoveConnet app. You will be asked to confirm your decision and may be asked to provide an optional reason for leaving (to help us improve). Once confirmed, the deletion process begins immediately.
• Email Request: Send a deletion request from the email address associated with your account to [email protected]. Include your registered email and phone number for verification. We will process your request within 5 business days.
• Data Protection Request: EU/EEA residents may exercise their "right to erasure" under GDPR by contacting our Data Protection Officer at [email protected].

Upon initiating account deletion: your profile is immediately and permanently hidden from all other users; your active matches and conversations become inaccessible to both parties; your personal data (profile information, photos, messages, verification records) is queued for permanent deletion and will be irreversibly purged from our primary systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups containing your data are automatically purged within 90 days. Certain data may be retained beyond these periods where required by law, court order, or active legal proceedings.

14.2 Temporary Deactivation

If you wish to take a break without permanently deleting your account and data, you may temporarily deactivate your account through Settings → Account → Pause Account. Deactivation hides your profile from other users and pauses matching activity, but preserves your data, matches, and conversation history for when you return. Deactivated accounts that remain inactive for more than 24 consecutive months may be subject to automatic permanent deletion.

14.3 Termination by LoveConnet

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, restrict your access to all or part of the Services, remove your content, and take any other action we deem appropriate, at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice, and without liability to you, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Terms Violations: Any violation of these Terms, the Community Guidelines, the Privacy Policy, or any applicable supplementary terms, whether a single egregious violation or a pattern of repeated minor violations.
• Harmful Conduct: Conduct that we reasonably determine, in our sole judgment, is harmful, threatening, or dangerous to other users, the LoveConnet community, the integrity of the platform, or LoveConnet's brand reputation.
• Fraudulent Activity: Evidence of fraudulent behavior, including creating fake profiles, engaging in romance scams, using stolen identities, or operating bot accounts.
• Legal Requirements: Requests, orders, or directives from law enforcement agencies, courts, government bodies, or regulatory authorities. We comply with all valid legal requests.
• Account Inactivity: Accounts that have been completely inactive (no logins, no engagement) for more than 24 consecutive months may be terminated and data deleted to comply with data minimization principles.
• Operational Reasons: Unexpected technical issues, security vulnerabilities, business decisions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control that necessitate account action.

14.4 Suspension vs. Termination

LoveConnet distinguishes between temporary suspension and permanent termination. A suspended account is temporarily disabled for a specific period (typically 24 hours to 30 days), after which access is automatically restored. A terminated account is permanently and irreversibly closed. In both cases, you will receive a notification explaining the reason for the action (unless disclosure would compromise an active investigation or violate legal requirements).

14.5 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account, whether by you or by LoveConnet, the following effects take place immediately:

• License Revocation: Your license to access and use the Services is immediately and automatically revoked. You must cease all use of the Services, including the mobile app, website, and Developer API.
• Profile Removal: Your profile is permanently hidden from all other users. Your matches are dissolved, and your conversation history becomes inaccessible to other parties.
• Premium Services: If you have an active Premium subscription, it will continue until the end of the current paid billing period but will not automatically renew. No prorated refunds are issued for the remaining period.
• Virtual Items: All Virtual Items, coins, credits, boosts, and other consumable or non-consumable in-app items are permanently forfeited without refund or compensation.
• API Access: If you are a developer, all API credentials are immediately invalidated, and you must delete all user data obtained through the API within 30 days.
• Surviving Provisions: The following sections of these Terms survive termination and continue in full force and effect: User Content & Intellectual Property (Section 6), Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability (Section 11), Indemnification (Section 12), Dispute Resolution (Section 13), Effect of Termination (this section), and Contact Information (Section 16).

LoveConnet operates in a dynamic environment where laws, regulations, technology, and community needs evolve continuously. We reserve the right to modify, amend, supplement, or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion to reflect these changes. We understand that changes to legal agreements affect your rights, and we are committed to handling modifications transparently and fairly.

15.1 Types of Changes and Notification

We classify changes to these Terms into two categories, each with different notification procedures:

• Material Changes: Significant modifications that substantively affect your rights or obligations, including changes to liability limitations, dispute resolution procedures, arbitration clauses, content ownership terms, data handling practices, pricing structures, or the introduction of new binding obligations. For material changes, we will: (a) send you an email notification to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect; (b) display a prominent in-app notification or banner when you next open the app; (c) update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page; and (d) where required by law, obtain your affirmative consent before the changes take effect.
• Minor Changes: Non-substantive updates such as formatting improvements, clarifications of existing provisions that do not change their meaning, correction of typographical errors, addition of hyperlinks, or restructuring for readability. For minor changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. No additional notice is required for minor changes.

15.2 Your Options Upon Modification

When we notify you of material changes to these Terms, you have the following options:

• Accept and Continue: Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any modifications constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms. By continuing to use LoveConnet after the notice period, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms in their entirety.
• Disagree and Leave: If you do not agree with any material changes, your sole and exclusive remedy is to deactivate or delete your account and discontinue all use of the Services before the effective date of the changes. You should cancel any active Premium subscriptions before deleting your account.

15.3 Version History

We maintain an archive of previous versions of these Terms. You can request access to prior versions by contacting [email protected]. We recommend that you periodically review these Terms to stay informed of any updates, even if you do not receive a notification.

We are committed to transparency and open communication. Our DPO handles data subject requests for all jurisdictions, not only the European Union.

16.2 Law Enforcement Requests
